Audience
The print was designed for a print fair that is hosted each year in Santa Barbara called Off Register. The targeted audience are individuals attending the event, interested in artworks that are a nod to California’s natural scenery.
Challenge
The artwork was produced using a risograph, a process similar to silkscreen printing that converts designs into stencils, but automated like offset lithography. A key challenge was ensuring the visual narrative effectively captured the essence of the California experience.
Concept & Strategy
The artwork illustration series celebrates the natural beauty and marine life of California's coastline. This California coast print, features a sea lion swimming among kelp with bright tropical fish, a nod to the rich biodiversity of the California Current.
